Velvet Revolver drummer Matt Sorum says fans can expect a big announcement in a couple of weeks. He says, "I think it's going to surprise everybody. It's exciting. We're moving forward. We're going to keep going and play rock and roll and get a new guy singing." There's no word yet on what the big surprise will be or if it concerns the arrival of Scott Weiland's replacement. Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters have been added to the line-up for the V-H-1 Rock Honors that will salute The Who. The event will take place July 12th at the Pauley Pavilion in Los Angeles and air on V-H-1 July 17th. The Who will close out the night by performing their own set. Pearl Jam's involvement at the show is not surprising -- Eddie Vedder has repeatedly cited Pete Townshend as a big influence and has performed with Townshend at various events, and the entire band has played numerous Who covers throughout their career MUST BE NICE TO LOOK UP TO SOMEONE YOUR ENTIRE LIFE AND THEN GET TO JOIN THEM IN THEIR PROFESSION WHEN YOU ARE AN ADULT... Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler is back in rehab, reports say he has checked into the Pasadena Recovery Center in California for substance abuse. Tyler, who has had past drug addicition, had been clean since the mid 80's. Dr. Drew Pinsky from VH1's Celebrity Rehab is one of the doctors associated with the place but there is no confirmation that he is the doctor working with Tyler. SINCE I'M READING NIKKI SIXX'S HEROIN DIARIES IN WHICH TYLER IS ACTUALLY MENTIONED, IT HAS SHOWN ME THE SCARY SIDE OF DRUG ABUSE AND HOW DARK A PLACE IT CAN BE. SO I HOPE THAT WHATEVER STEVEN'S PROBLEM IS THAT HE RESOLVES IT QUICKLY AND COMES BACK HEALTHIER THAN EVER. GOOD LUCK MAN
Speaking of Nikki Sixx his bandmate Tommy Lee and rapper Ludacris tried to get their names in the Guiness Book Of World Records by staging the world's largest group shower at Las Vegas' Planet Hollywood this ...

Korn
frontman Jonathan Davis took part in a chat on Saturday via the group’s official chat room where he discussed the March rumors that the original members of Korn were to reunite. Check out what he had to say below:
"Head doesn’t want to come back yet. I miss him sooooo f*ckin’ bad, but I don’t think he is ready to be put back in the element he ran from. Drugs are everywere, and I think he’s not ready to be around it yet. I think Fieldy can help him a lot because he’s Christian and sober and does fine. ...

John Rutsey who was the original drummer for Rush has died at the age of 55 but the cause has not been released. Rutsey teamed with guitarist Alex Lifeson and Jeff Jones to form Rush in 1968. Rutsey played on their 1974 self titled debut but then left the group due to his diabetes that didn't allow him to do extended touring. More info on this story when I get it
Alice in Chains are taking a short break from the working ontheir new album. Jerry Cantrell said they had been working for months and just need a break is all. He went on to say that they have a lot of music written but our still trying to figure out where William Duvall fits in. Duvall is the man trying to replace the late and great Layne Staley as the lead singer. Major shoes to fill but I wish them the best of luck and hope they make a stop here in the Nati in the future!
Velvet Revolver is still in search of their new lead singer to replace Scott Weiland an ...

I'm sure this has happened to a lot of people but it's just seems like this kind of crap happens to me constantly cause this is the 3rd time this has happened to me!
So before the show at Bogart's (which by the way was one of the stinkiest and nastiest place I've ever seen a show WHICH IS AWESOME!! I love those style venues they are the best!) Sister Karen and our winners decided to go down the road a bit to start boozin a bit! So I start a tab, have a few beers and decide to cash out with the bartender so that a waitress can start serving us... I'm lazy like that.
So the gal swipes the card and gives me the receipt to sign when I realize it wasn't my card but our winner's card. So I tell her that mine is the gold one back there so she grabs it, swipes it and gives me the next receipt... once again NOT my card is some other guys who has an identical card... you see where this is going.
So I tell here AGAIN that this isn't mine either and she ...
