Linkin Park had to cancel their show in Las Vegas Monday night due to an unspecified back injury to singer Chester Bennington. That has now caused the cancellation of the band's Chinese tour, which was set to kick off October 12th in Shanghai. The jaunt was to raise funds for earthquake relief through the band's Music for Relief foundation. Linkin Park and their tour promoter will still donate money to relief efforts.
Nickelback will play a mini-concert and a shoot the video for the single "Gotta Be Somebody" Sunday afternoon at The Forum in Los Angeles. The band is promising to do "several songs" besides "Gotta Be Somebody" and is giving away tickets through its website. All the songs Nickelback plays will be filmed for a TV commercial promoting the new album Dark Horse, which is due out November 18th.
Weezer have broken several Guinness records with their new video for "Troublemaker." The clip features the band and a huge crowd participating in several activities in an L-A parking lot. Guinness World Records official Stuart Claxton was invited to the shoot and confirms that new records have been set for the largest game of dodge ball, most people in a custard pie fight, most people riding on a skateboard, largest air guitar ensemble and longest Guitar Hero World Tour marathon -- which lasted 10 hours and 12 minutes.
According to Harddrive, Saliva have changed the title of their upcoming studio album to ‘Cinqo Diablo‘. The album will be in stores on December 16th while the first single, “Family Reunion”, impacts radio on October 28th.

Green Day have begun work on a new studio album with producer Butch Vig (Jimmy Eat World, AFI). A 2009 release is expected.
Esquire magazine has crowned Halle Berry its Sexiest Woman Alive. The 42-year-old, who gave birth to her first child in March, has accepted the honor, but insists it doesn't belong to her alone. She says, "I share this title with every woman, because every woman is a nominee for it at any moment. Sexiness is a state of mind -- a comfortable state of being.
