More news on Kurt Cobain's Ashe's being sniffed/smoked... Disturbed announces winter dates... Scott Weiland doing solo dates

Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain's ashes were not stolen earlier this year despite tabloid reports that they were, according to Gigwise.com. Alan Nierob, publicist for Cobain's widow Courtney Love, said that a story alleging that Cobain's ashes were taken from Love's Hollywood home along with clothes and jewelry was "erroneously reported" and that the ashes were "never taken." Nierob issued his comments after an Australian artist claimed she would smoke Cobain's ashes in a joint as part of a performance art installation in Berlin later this month.

Natascha Stellmach claimed in Art World that she had acquired Cobain's ashes through "magic" and that smoking them would release the late singer and guitarist "into the ether from the media circus."

Inquiries about what Stellmach is currently smoking have not received a response

Disturbed will hit the northern states as well as several Canadian stops on a new tour beginning on November 23rd in Rochester, Minnesota. The Art of Dying will be along as a support act. Disturbed continues to support its fourth studio effort and third straight Number One album, Indestructible. The band first got on the road behind the CD last May and singer David Draiman told us he's got a strict regiment to keep his voice in good shape: "I've gone through a lot of training to try and figure out how to do what I do without hurting myself. It doesn't always work, but 90 percent of the time hopefully it does. Part of what makes me who I am is the tonality of the voice, and I'm trying to still be able to push and expand my range without losing too much of that tonality. So it's a challenge, it's kind of on the razor's edge."

Disturbed issued a new concert EP titled Live & Indestructible as an exclusive digital release through iTunes this past Tuesday (September 30th). The EP will be available through all digital retailers after two weeks.

The set contains three songs, "Inside The Fire," "Stricken" and "The Game," recorded on May 29th in Las Vegas during an online interactive concert the band played at DeepRockDrive.com. The EP also features the music video for the title track from Indestructible.

Disturbed plans to kick off its fourth Music As A Weapon tour in March of 2009. Dates, cities and supporting acts have yet to be unveiled.

Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland has continued adding solo gigs to his late fall and winter schedule. The latest round of shows begins on January 16th in Dallas, wrapping up on February 7th in Las Vegas. These are in addition to the previously announced dates that start on November 11th in Kansas City, Missouri and run through early December. Weiland will be out in support of his second solo album, called Happy in Galoshes, which is due out on November 25th through his own Softdrive Records.

Two tracks from the record, "Missing In Cleveland" and "Paralysis," are both streaming at Weiland's MySpace page.

Stone Temple Pilots will head to Brazil, Argentina and Mexico later this month, before playing one more week's worth of shows on the massive North American trek the band began last spring. The tour finally wraps on Halloween (October 31st) in Birmingham, Alabama.

Happy in Galoshes follows up Weiland's 1998 solo debut, 12 Bar Blues. The CD features guest appearances by Adrian Young, Tony Kanal and Tom Dumont of No Doubt.
Travis Barker released from hospital... Tom Morello releases 2nd solo album... Aaron Lewis announces solo dates... Guns N Roses set tentative date for Chinese Democracy...More Jager Tour dates includes Cincinnati

Former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker was released from the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital in Augusta, Georgia, on Monday morning (September 29th), according to MTV.com. Barker was at the center for nine days after suffering severe second and third degree burns in a plane crash that killed four people and also seriously injured DJ Adam "AM" Goldstein late in the evening on Friday, September 19th. Barker was treated for burns on his torso and lower body. A hospital spokesperson said she believed he was heading home to Los Angeles, telling People.com, "Travis is in good condition and was discharged this morning."

Barker and Goldstein are both expected to fully recover from their injuries, although the full healing process could take up to a year.

Barker and Goldstein were the sole survivors of the crash. Barker's assistant and his body guard perished from blunt force trauma, while the plane's two pilots were killed by smoke inhalation and other injuries.

According to local police, Barker and Goldstein saved their lives by exiting the plane quickly and putting out the flames on each other's bodies.

Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello issues his second solo album as the Nightwatchman on today (September 30th), titled The Fabled City. Unlike his solo debut, 2007's One Man Revolution, the new disc is a mix of both electric and acoustic numbers. Morello will hit the road behind the new set in November and plans to mix up his live show as well: "Yeah, it's gonna be 50-50. Half of the show will be all acoustic, and then the other half of the show will be electric with a fully fleshed out 'Freedom Fighter Orchestra' behind me. It's not gonna be Slash and Perry Farrell, so don't get all excited. But it's friends of mine from around town, just great musicians, great friends who have tremendous improvisation skills and are fun to hang out with."

The Fabled City features guest appearances from System of a Down singer Serj Tankian and Shooter Jennings.

Morello will appear at the New Yorker Festival in New York City this Saturday (October 4th), where he'll perform and also talk with New Yorker staff writer James Surowiecki.

Newly confirmed Tom Morello solo dates (subject to change):
November 1 - San Francisco, CA - The Fillmore
November 2 - Portland, OR - Wonder Ballroom
November 5 - Vancouver, BC - Commodore Ballroom
November 7 - Salt Lake City, UT - The Depot
November 8 - Aspen, CO - Belly Up
November 9 - Boulder, CO - Fox Theater
November 11 - Minneapolis, MN - Fine Line Music Cafe
November 12 - Milwaukee, WI - Turner Hall Ballroom
November 13 - Indianapolis, IN - The Vogue
November 20 - Philadelphia, PA - Electric Factory
November 21 - New York, NY - The Fillmore at Irving Plaza

Staind vocalist Aaron Lewis has announced that he'll play a handful of solo dates in January and February, according to Harddrive Radio. Lewis traditionally heads out for some solo acoustic gigs shortly after the New Year. He's also been on the road with Staind this fall, promoting the band's new The Illusion of Progress record, but told us that he has no problems balancing the two: "It's something I've wanted to do always. Before I ever started in this band, the acoustic thing is what I did. That's what my dad did when I was a kid, and it's something I've always wanted to do. If it can co-exist with Staind, then I'll really kind of be having my cake and eating it too."

The Illusion of Progress debuted at Number Three on the Billboard album chart last month, selling 92,000 copies in its first week of release.

That snapped the band's streak of three straight Number One debuts, which started with 2001's Break The Cycle and ended in 2005 with Chapter V.

Staind will kick off a new U.S. tour on Friday (October 3rd) in Verona, New York, with the band being joined on most of the dates by Seether and Papa Roach.

Aaron Lewis hopes to issue his debut solo album sometime in 2009.

Newly announced Aaron Lewis solo dates:
January 2 - Henderson, NV - Green Valley Resort
January 3 - Las Vegas, NV - Aliante Casino
January 9 - Reno, NV - Silver Legacy Casino
February 26, 27 - Niagara Falls, NY - Bear's Den

RollingStone.com reports that the long awaited Guns N’ Roses album ‘Chinese Democracy‘ will be released exclusively by Best Buy on November 25th, however Billboard reports a release date has yet to be set.

A new track from the album titled “If The World” will be featured during the credits for the movie ‘Body of Lies‘ which hits theaters on October 10th.

A few dates have been added to the Fall Jagermeister Music Tour which will be headlined by Hinder with support from Rev Theory and Trapt.
Updated on Travis Barker... Corey Taylor blames the record companies... Shinedown/Drowning Pool/Tantric/Jet Black Stare tour dates... Nickelback might be censored?

What up Rockheads, sorry for the lack of blog's lately but it' s been a bit quiet in the music biz except for the DJ AM and Travis Barker plane crash but here's an update on the guys and some other tidbits for you to munch on...

Travis Barker is pimping out his hospital room as he recovers from burns sustained in an airplane accident on September 19th. According to Barker's pal, music producer Jermaine Dupri, the drummer has outfitted his room with iPods, computers, and various other high-tech gadgets. Dupri told People magazine, "He's just now getting everything in the hospital set up for him. You got to make sure he is comfortable."

Dupri estimates that Barker will be laid up at least another two weeks at the Joseph M. Still Burn Center, where he's undergone several surgeries for his second- and third-degree burns. Barker is expected to send a message to fans and supporters from the hospital this week.

Barker and Adam Goldstein, a.k.a.DJ AM, were the only survivors of the crash, which killed four people in Columbia, South Carolina.

DJ AM was reportedly discharged from the hospital late last week. His rep said in a statement to TMZ, "Adam Goldstein has been released form Doctors Hospital. While he is deeply saddened by the events, he is thankful for all of the love and support he has been receiving from fans and friends world wide."

The statement also asked the media to respect the DJ's privacy while "he rests and heals and mourns the loss of his friends."

Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor spoke out in the latest issue of Kerrang! magazine about the subject of illegal downloading, following the recent arrest of a Los Angeles man for leaking nine unreleased Guns N' Roses tracks online. Taylor said that the record labels only have themselves to blame for the rise in music downloads in the last few years, asking, "Why would you blame (people who download music)? Half the f***ing albums that are out there are s***. I don't download, but at the same time, I don't buy new music 'cause it all sucks...I think it's the quality of the product. If record companies would stop giving any f***ing mook on the street with a fringe a record deal or their own record label, maybe you would sell more f***ing albums."

Taylor's bandmate, percussionist Shawn "Clown" Crahan, told us something similar when we asked him what he thought was wrong with the record business: "I mean, where do you want me to start? The labels are horrible. The producers who play the game and collect the bill is horrible. You know, the Pro Tools, the efficiency of creating music is horrible. How 'bout the standard of freaking musician that gets allowed to play music for people? It's just bad, but what's good is that the will and the love for music has not changed."

Slipknot's new album, All Hope Is Gone, debuted at Number One on the Billboard album chart nearly four weeks ago, selling 239,516 copies in its first week to give the band its first-ever chart-topper.

Early October will find Slipknot heading to Japan, Australia, Russia and Europe, where they'll stay through mid-December. A North American trek is in the works for January.

Saliva and Drowning Pool were getting together for their second tour of the year together and now it's official. The bands start rocking venues from Ohio to South Carolina and throughout Texas, beginning October 17th in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Tantric and Jet Black Stare are also on the bill.

Drowning Pool vocalist Ryan McCombs said in a statement, "We are excited to get back on the road with our friends in Saliva and to bring the 'Full Circle' show to friends and fans across the country one last time before we head into the studio to make a new album."

Saliva is equally as excited about hitting the road. Singer Josey Scott told us that the band thrives on being "bus rats": "We're just gonna keep beatin' up the road, man. We're bus rats. We love being on tour and rocking our fans and getting close to our fans and signing autographs and the whole schmear, man. I love it, you know. I love playing for the fans of Saliva."

Drowning Pool / Saliva tour dates (subject to change):
October 17 - Saint Petersburg, FL - Jannus Landing
October 18 - Daytona Beach, FL - Destination Daytona
October 20 - Columbia, SC - Headliners
October 21 - Goose Creek, SC - The Dive
October 22 - Jacksonville, NC - Hooligans
October 24 - Providence, RI - Dunkin' Donuts Center
October 26 - Lorain, OH - Black River Landing
October 28 - Columbus, OH - Newport Music Hall
October 29 - Flint, MI - The Machine Shop
November 1 - Detroit, MI - The Fillmore
November 2 - Springfield, IL - Illinois State Fairgrounds
November 5 - San Antonio, TX - Scout Bar
November 6 - Pharr, TX - Graham Central Station
November 7 - Beaumont, TX - Scout Bar
November 8 - Houston, TX - Scout Bar
November 9 - Corpus Christi, TX - The Pavilion at Concrete Street
November 11 - Lubbock, TX - Wild West
November 22 - Brawley, CA - Galamis Beach

Nickelback's forthcoming album might just be slapped with one of those parental warning stickers. Tentatively titled Dark Horse, the sixth studio effort from the Canadian rockers is teeming with adult themes and lyrics that could make it a tough sell to radio and fans' parents. Singer Chad Kroeger told the BBC, "There's a lot of truly filthy subject matter and adult themes."

The band touches on familiar themes too but not with the same outcome as before. Kroeger said, "It's a challenge. You just grab new themes and the ones that always seem to connect like love, or lack thereof. Those ones are always good. you just have to throw a different spin on them."

The concept of adult themes isn't entirely new to Nickelback. Songs like "Figured You Out" and "Animals" had raunchy lyrics, and Kroeger told us he wasn't embarrassed by putting them out there: "A lot of people ask me, like, 'What does your mom think when you write songs like that?' And I think it went out the window when I started writing songs that started off with 'I like your pants around your feet.' You know, when that one hit the radio waves, a lot of people were going, 'Whoa, what does your mom think of that?' I'm like, 'She's cool with it.'"

Dark Horse will be released by Roadrunner Records on November 18th.

The first single from the album, called "If Today Was Your Last Day," will arrive at radio stations on September 30th.
Update on Travis Barker and DJ AM... Rise Against letting you preview more of the new disc... Metallica stays at numero uno on the charts

With former Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and turntablist DJ AM still hospitalized in critical condition after their brush with death, officials are investigating whether or not a blown tire led to the fiery crash that killed four people and left Barker and AM severely injured on Friday (September 19th). The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) confirmed that the Learjet attempting to take the men from South Carolina to California had an inoperable wheel during its botched takeoff, and this may have contributed to the aircraft's deadly collision. The NTSB has contacted Goodyear tires for further information, and the tire manufacturer said in a statement that it "will cooperate fully" with the investigation.

Barker and DJ AM -- whose real name is Adam Goldstein -- had performed at a concert in Columbia, South Carolina before boarding the chartered plane bound for the Los Angeles area. They suffered second- and third-degree burns and are recovering at an Augusta, Georgia burn center.

A coroner's report released Monday (September 22nd) indicated that the pilot and co-pilot of the plane died from a combination of smoke inhalation and injuries. Barker's assistant, Chris Baker, and his bodyguard, Charles Still, perished from blunt force trauma.

A memorial fund has been established in the names of Baker and Still to aid their families financially.

Condolences and well-wishes have been pouring in for those involved in the crash. Barker's on-again-off-again main squeeze, Shanna Moakler, said in a statement Monday, "There are not enough words to express how thankful we are for the outpouring of love and support we have received during this very difficult time. We can only ask for prayers as we heal and mourn the loss of our dear friends who we considered part of our family. Our lives will be changed forever."

Fall Out Boy toured with Barker's band +44 last year and said in a statement, "Our band would like to reach out and put those who were a part of this tragedy and their families in our prayers, as well our continued support for the recovery of those who survived. It's time like these that we are reminded -- in the worst possible way -- to honor life."

Actress Lindsay Lohan, a close friend of Goldstein's, wrote on her MySpace blog, "Please send your prayers out to Adam Goldstein and Travis Barker, along with the others lost in the plane crash. It's so scary to think that life can end so fast. We must treasure each and every moment -- and be thankful for what we have."

Rapper Beanie Siegel told MTV news that he had just seen Barker in Las Vegas and was shocked by news of the crash, "Man, that took me like, 'Wow.' It's just a blessing he survived. It got me thinking, like, 'Is it all worth it? This lifestyle and all the traveling we do.'"

Rise Against is offering fans another peek at its forthcoming album by streaming the single "Collapse (Post-Amerika)" on its MySpace page. The three minute, 13 second song is the second track from the group's Appeal To Reason album to go public.

The first single from the album, "Re-Education (Through Labor)," is already on the Modern rock radio chart, and the video for the tune went into rotation on MTV2 and mtvU Monday (September 23rd).

Appeal To Reason is due in stores on October 7th. As with previous discs, Appeal To Reason addresses social and political issues important to the group.

Rise Against begins a North American tour in support of the album on October 2nd.

More news on Mudvayne's new tour and entire list of tour dates... Chester Bennington bashes the VMA's (IT'S ABOUT TIME) and talks about his solo project and new Linkin Park album

Mudvayne has revealed the details of its first North American tour in three years, as well as more information about the band's upcoming album, The New Game. Through a program called "The Album Is The Ticket," fans who pre-order the record at BestBuy.com will have an opportunity to buy a ticket to the tour through a code accompanying each copy or pre-order of the CD. The code will take buyers to a private fan club area at TheAlbumIsTheTicket.com where they can buy their ticket and also receive a one-year membership in Mudvayne's fan club.

Singer Chad Gray said in a statement, "Traditionally, over the life cycle of an album, a fan purchases a CD, DVD, tickets to a show and a fan club membership, generally spending over $100 for the experience. For the launch of The New Game, fans can experience all of these elements for well under $40."

The New Game is due out on November 18th and follows up Mudvayne's last all-new studio effort, 2005's Lost and Found.

We asked drummer Matt McDonough if the new CD was a concept record like some of the band's earlier ones: "I don't really see any of the records we've done as being a concept record. I like to look at it more in the sense of the records being conceptual, and that there might be ideas that are pervasive and overriding views or things that could be suggested in it. But as far as like a concept, where there's a narrative and a plot, we don't really work like that."

The first single from The New Game is called "Do What You Do." It hits rock radio on September 23rd.

Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington blasted the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards in an interview with Entertainment Weekly last week. Bennington, who attended the September 7th awards show, was disappointed in the lack of rock acts represented at the event. He said, "Where were Foo Fighters and Nickelback? Or even a band like Three Days Grace, who had a pretty big year? There was no Vampire Weekend or Daughtry. It was very one-sided." The singer described the show itself as "raising the bar of confusion and disarray. The VMAs are consistently clusterf***s, and this year set a new standard." Bennington noted that "you had people who were invited sitting out in the streets. Plus, everybody was texting, no one was watching the show. I got super bummed out." But the vocalist's main criticism was that the VMAs are appealing to less and less people, saying, "I think the VMAs have completely lost touch with a broad scope of music. It was very bubble gum and Disney, which is why bands like Foo Fighters, and everybody else in my group weren't there."

Although Bennington didn't think his band would win anything, Linkin Park did in fact nab a Best Rock Video prize for "Shadow of the Day."

JD - I personally am glad to hear that somebody from the rock world has finally stood up and said something about this. I mean seriously how much Chris Brown, Rihanna and T-Pain shit can we all take! Not too mention the Miley Cyrus crap I mean seriously... this stuff is pure garbage but the teens dig it and I guess MTV can't see that they are missing out on an entire generation of people that don't give two shits about this stuff... such a shame.

Bennington also revealed that his long-in-the-works solo project, which had been called Dead By Sunrise, might come out under his own name when it emerges sometime in 2009. He described the album as "very moody, very dark and melodic."

Linkin Park has also been working on new material and plans to record and release a new album in 2009. The band will head to China next month, with proceeds from the shows going to help victims of the earthquake that rocked portions of the country earlier this year.
Cincinnati Bengals review... MUDVAYNE coming to Bogarts!!! Guitar Hero: World Tour song list... Metallica set to sell 500,000 copies of Death Magnetic...

Hey everyone hope the weekend went well... it was definitely an interesting one here in the tri-state area with Sunday being so crazy with the football and the weather. For those of you who are without power is Urban Active Fitness is offering free use of their showers in Bellevue, Western Hills, Eastgate, Hyde Park, Deerfield and Skytop. So if you need to get cleaned up and are without the means at the moment stop in one of their locations. Also in Florence Garzelli's is offering blackout specials on food and beverages so stop in at 42 and Weaver Rd and get your munch on!

Alright now that that is out of the way I have to put in some words on my first Cincinnati Bengals experience. I was in attendance at the game in some pretty choice seats in section 118 and unfortunately the wind was so crazy that neither team could throw very well which really sucked for the Bengals cause their air attack is where this teams best weapons are with Housh, Ocho and Palmer. Hopefully they can get on track next week but from what I saw yesterday this week against the NY Giants is going to be UGLY! And the schedule isn't getting any easier having to still face face the Cowboys, Jets, Eagles, Jaguars and Steelers (twice). This could be a really long season but in good news everyone we talked to at the game was very cool and well behaved which is surprising considering how bad the game :) Alright on too music news...

I'm super stoked about this news... Activision Publishing has unveiled the complete track listing for its highly anticipated Guitar Hero: World Tour, the latest edition of the hugely successful video game franchise. The 86-song set list spans 40 years and features the largest selection of music yet offered on the game. Among the selections, which are all master recordings, are tracks from Metallica, Van Halen, Michael Jackson, Ozzy Osbourne, the Allman Brothers Band, Coldplay, Sting and dozens more.

For the first time, Guitar Hero will expand beyond just guitar playing on World Tour to include full band instrumentation. The game will go head-to-head this fall with Rock Band 2, the second edition of its biggest competitor.

In addition to contributing three songs, the members of Tool have also helped design a new concert venue in the game.

More downloadable music will be available for the game, including Metallica's entire new Death Magnetic album.

Guitar Hero: World Tour is set for release on October 26th. I've put some stars next to my personal favorites that I can't wait to take a crack at!

Metallica's new album, Death Magnetic, is on track to sell 500,000 copies in the U.S. in its first, shortened week of release, according to Hits Daily Double. The CD was released worldwide on Friday (September 12th), although almost all albums are issued in the U.S. on Tuesdays. The group's last studio effort, 2003's St. Anger, was pushed up to a Thursday, June 5th release from its original arrival date of June 10th to combat Internet leaks. The record ended up selling 418,000 copies in that short release window, adding another 363,000 in its first full week on shelves.

Meanwhile, fans who purchased a special box set edition of Death Magnetic in the U.K. must have been surprised to find it missing one thing: the CD itself. Many of the boxes, which were priced at the British equivalent of $124.99, were also missing a limited edition lithograph, according to Undercover News. North American editions of the release were not affected.

Metallica played a record release show on Friday at the new O2 World arena in Berlin, Germany, becoming the first musical act to appear at the newly opened venue. The band aired out five tracks from Death Magnetic, including "That Was Just Your Life," "The End of the Line," "Broken, Beaten and Scarred," "Cyanide" and "The Day That Never Comes."

All proceeds from the Berlin show were donated to a local charity.

And finally Buckcherry, Shinedown and Saving Abel will start their tour together on Tuesday (September 16th) in Moline, Illinois, despite the loss of co-headliner Avenged Sevenfold because of frontman M. Shadows's strained voice. Buckcherry is now the sole headliner and a statement at the band's website is billing the trek as "three bands for the price of one." In the same statement, singer Josh Todd said, "We're glad to hear that Shadows is fine, and can't wait to get out on the road with the band in November. We have a great show planned, and we are pumped to get on the road behind the new album and play it for the fans."

Shadows himself added, "We're happy to hear that Buckcherry will carry on with the dates we had scheduled together and look forward to joining them for a kick ass tour in November." All four bands will reunite on November 4th for a new round of dates beginning in Caspar, Wyoming.

Top 10 Reasons You're At A Bad Fireworks Display

In the tradition of Labor Day here in Cincinnati I figured I'd give you this list to keep in the back of your minds... have a safe holiday weekend!

10. What you call a fireworks display, the police call arson.

9. Best part was when the bug zapper fell in the pool

8.The only celebrity they can bring in is the Geico lizard

7. Al Gore shuts it down because of atmosphere-warming sulfure emissions

6. It starts at noon

5. It's really just a couple of guys yelling, "Ka-Boom"

4. The Finale of the show is when a stick of dynamite blows up your car

3. Fireworks form a colorful image of CNN personality Larry King

2. You're handed a program and a business card of several personal injury attorneys when you show up

1. When you complain that it's over after it's underwhelming two minutes, your wife/girlfriend turns to you and says "I know the feeling"

Guy who leaked new Guns N Roses song gets arrested... Kid Rock mistreated in the U.K... Staind announces dates for new tour

A 27-year-old blogger named Kevin Cogill was arrested on Wednesday (August 27th) at his Los Angeles home on suspicion of violating federal copyright laws for leaking nine Guns N' Roses songs online, according to the Los Angeles Times. Cogill, who used the name Skwerl, was accused of posting the songs at a website called Antiquiet in June, where they were available for public access. The site crashed from the amount of traffic it received once word of the leaked tracks got out. Cogill admitted to federal agents that he posted the songs and was expected to appear in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles on Wednesday afternoon.

Cogill operates Antiquiet himself and used to work in the distribution department of Universal Music, which owns Guns N' Roses' catalog.

It is not yet known how Cogill obtained the tracks, which are taken from the yet-to-be-released Guns N' Roses album, Chinese Democracy. He told Rolling Stone that he received them from an "anonymous online source," and took them down after being contacted by "a really cool guy from the G N'R camp that was a middleman between someone who was very angry and me."

Cogill was also visited at his office by two FBI agents who questioned him about the leak.

Kathy Leodler, director of investigations for the Recording Industry Association of America's (RIAA) Western region office, told the Times, "The arrest of Kevin Cogill is great for the recording industry related to our online investigations. We are very pleased with the FBI's interest and the U.S. attorney's office's aggressiveness in pursuing this investigation. We think we'll see more and more of these pre-release cases."

Kid Rock told a British tabloid newspaper that he pulled out of the U.K.'s Download Festival in June because he felt mistreated by the show's organizers, and not because he was ill. Rock was quoted by the Daily Star's music columnist as saying that the festival's promoters "treated me like f***. There was just one trailer for my whole band. We had no water, no bathroom, no rider. The final straw was when they wouldn't give my crew any food or drinks vouchers. I called the promoter and told him he had two hours to get it sorted or I was out. They did nothing so I visited the promoter's office, took a p*** on his couch and left."

The show's organizers issued a statement on the day of the show (June 13th) saying that Rock had fallen ill and was rushed to a nearby hospital. It was later reported that he had been suffering from dehydration.

But Rock told the Star he was nowhere near a hospital, and was instead "wandering the streets in Birmingham, trying to find a good movie to watch."

A spokesperson for Download producers Live Nation said about Rock's remarks, "This is the first we've heard of it. At this stage we have nothing to add." Rock's publicist did not answer a request for comment.

Rock shot the video for his next single, "Roll On," on Wednesday (August 26th) in Detroit. The track is featured on his latest album, Rock 'N Roll Jesus.

Kid Rock headlines his own show in Milwaukee on Thursday (August 28th) before re-teaming with Lynyrd Skynyrd for a couple of gigs this weekend.

The first dates for Staind’s upcoming tour with Papa Roach and Seether have been confirmed, they are:
