My blog...I will try to keep the PBR/Nikki Sixx/Jack White talk to a minimum :) I said TRY- so it's not likely...

I wasn't too worried about getting to see Motley Crue on David Letterman last night....see, waking up at 4am everyday can put a damper on staying up late to watch things like that...but I just KNEW someone would post it on youtube! Thought I'd share it with you Rockheads who didn't get to see it, either- l have a feeling Crue Fest is gonna be REAL fun!

The Jagermeister Music Tour rolls thru Cincy tonight at Bogarts....this morning during the 2 Angry Guys show, we had the Lizard Man on with us- he's the MC for the tour. A very interesting person...the podcast of the interview is up here on the site...and if you click on www.thelizardman.com/ you can check out his website. Your thoughts?

The Angries and I had a big laugh yesterday at the article in the Enquirer which listed the top 100 things to do in the Cincy/Northern KY area before you die.  A few of them made sense- the Flying Pig Marathon, Sunlite Pool/Coney Island, the Beast at Kings Island, the Festival of Lights at the Zoo, etc...But some of the others, well...I just don't see myself driving over the Suspension Bridge with my windows down just to "listen to the tires hum" anytime soon, (which was at number SIX!) or go stand in front of the "Florence Y'all" sign and have my picture taken. (at # 20). REALLY? Is there nothing else to do in this city? So we opened the phone to all you Rockheads, and we got both some pretty sarcastic & funny ideas, as well as some cool ligit ones. Any ideas from any of you online Rockheads?

Ok, so if you weren't a girl that read Judy Blume books you probably won't get the title of this post...but lots of listeners ask why we don't have a myspace page- but we DO!!! It's still in the works, but you can find us at http://www.myspace.com/96rockfm

Happy myspacing!

Last night the Raconteurs played at the new National City Pavilion at Riverbend....and did they ever play! I don't know the last time I saw a show as good as this one. And I'm not just saying that because Jack had on the best pair of pants I have ever seen in my life. Seriously. Wow. As Gamble would say, "That's a holy!"

But back to the show...I really don't know what to say about it, other than if you were there, you know how good it was. If you haven't seen these guys play live, you need to the next time they roll through town. I've seen enough live footage of Jack with the White Stripes and as much as I love them, it's nice to see him play with a full band. I can't say enough good things about Brendan Benson, either- equally as talented as Jack & he has some very snazzy hair. And of course Jack & Patrick I've seen over the years with the Greenhornes, and I'm just real happy for those guys to hook up with the other two & create such an awesome band. I love their recorded stuff, but this is definitely a band you want to see live to really appreciate them.

If you were at the show I'd love to know what you thought of it...or if you're heading down to Bonnaroo this week be sure to catch them while you're there & let me know what you think when you get back. And a big thanks to Rosemarie at Riverbend for the great tickets- the only way to see Jack in those pants is from the third row!

A while back, I was made an Honorary Cincinnati Rollergirl. I wish I could say I skate well, but let's face it, I'm lucky to walk a straight line sober. But I wanted to take a minute & give those ladies credit where it's due- cuz they're badass!! You can get all their info at www.cincinnatirollergirls.com!! I also found a clip from one of their bouts- take a sec and check 'em out in action:

I wanted to take a quick second & thank the guys & gals from the Norwood Fire Department for having Fin, Richard & myself out for their golf scramble this past Saturday. We had a blast- the weather cleared up, and I got to drive my new friend Adam around all afternoon instead of suffer thru getting made fun of by Skinner- and all for a great cause!

I'm a bit late on posting my review of the show at Bogarts last Thursday....but needless to say (and I'm sure most of you have heard by now, anyway) Tom, Fin & I had a very good time!

Saving Abel was great...by far the most mellow of the bands for the evening, but no disappointment there...Although I must admit during their set I was mostly talking to Tom & getting our beer situation settled, so I wasn't completely fixed on the show the entire time.

Airbourne was just FUN. An absolute blast. And it showed that they were having just as much fun as the crowd was having. In all honesty one of the best live performances I've seen in a very long time. (And they're pretty fun to drink with, too! ;-)

Theory of a Deadman, well what can you say other than it was what I expected- a damn good show. The guys stopped by the studio earlier that day & chatted with Fin, and also played a couple of tunes (you can check out the audio on Fin's blog, btw) and they are just down to earth very cool guys. (Not to mention Dave is pretty darned HOT)

So that's a very short review...bits & pieces I don't remember...may have something to do with that brown stuff I was drinking at some point....but if you were there, I'm sure you had just as good of a time- would love to read your comments!
