Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist John Frusciante has left the band according to Musicradar.com. Josh Klinghoffer, who toured with the Chili Peppers during their 2007 Stadium Arcadium tour, has been working with the band as of late.
Frusciante quit the group in 1992 during a tour of Japan before rejoining in 1999.
The band ended a two year hiatus earlier this year to begin work on their tenth studio album. A release is expected in late 2010.
Shinedown have posted a new live video of the band performing their single “Devour” on their website. The clip was recorded in Atlanta in May and can be purchases as apart of their new video album ‘The Sight of Madness‘ on iTunes.
Metal’s Big Four, Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax, will tour Europe in 2010. The band’s will be apart of the Sonisphere festival which begins on June 16th in Poland and will make stops in the Czech Republic, Romania, Turkey, Sofia, Bulgaria, Knebworth, Bucharest, the United Kingdom and others. There are currently no dates scheduled for the United States.
