Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison has said that there will "absolutely" be another record from the band despite the death this past May of bassist Paul Gray. According to Blabbermouth, Jordison was asked during an interview with Fuse TV whether Slipknot would record again, to which he replied, "Absolutely. I just wanna thank all the fans for their support on my loss. But there will be another record for sure." He did not give any hints about when Slipknot would regroup, but it's not likely to be until 2012.

Until Jordison's comments, no member of Slipknot has made any definite statements regarding the band's future.Jordison made his comments at a stop on the Rockstar Energy Mayhem tour, where he is currently playing drums for Rob Zombie. Jordison also has a new album imminent from his side band, Murderdolls.

Guitarist Jim Root recently said an interview at the Sonisphere Festival website that a "healing process" needs to take place before "we even think about whether or not Slipknot will continue."Root and Slipknot singer Corey Taylor are on the road now with Stone Sour, whose new album Audio Secrecy arrives on September 7th.

Gray's body was found on May 24th in a suburban hotel room outside Des Moines, Iowa. A medical examiner ruled that the 38-year-old died of an accidental overdose of morphine and a synthetic form of morphine.

Details for Pantera’sCowboys From Hell‘ 20th Anniversary edition have been revealed. The release is due on September 14th and will be available in both a two and three CD expanded edition as well as a three disc deluxe box set. Click here for track listing. It will include a previously unreleased song called "The Will To Survive" and never-before-released live recordings from California in 1990 and Moscow in 1991. An expanded two-disc set will also be available, while November 23rd will see the release of an Ultimate Edition housed in an intricate box containing several replica memorabilia pieces from the Cowboys era.
 

Black Sabbath singer Ozzy Osbourne and guitarist Tony Iommi have issued a statement saying that the two "have amicably resolved their problems over the ownership of the Black Sabbath name and court proceedings in New York have been discontinued. Both parties are glad to put this behind them and to cooperate together for the future and would like it to be known that the issue was never personal, it was always business."
 

The Offspring are issuing a special compilation album called Happy Hour! only in Japan. The August 4th release marks the 15th anniversary of the band's first visit to Japan and contains live recordings, cover songs and remixes previously available only as B-sides. Korn guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer makes a guest appearance on two songs off the upcoming CD from Montreal band Deadly Apples. The disc is expected out in early 2011. Korn, Deadly Apples and others will share the stage on July 24th and 25th at Montreal's annual Heavy Mtl festival. (Metal Rage)

Mushroomhead have set September 28th as the release date for their new album, ‘Beautiful Stories For Ugly Children‘. The single “Come On” will be released to radio in August.
