Courtney Love, the widow of late Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, has settled a lawsuit brought by a management firm over money earned from the sale of the rights to Cobain's songs. According to the BBC, Love was sued in 2008 for $1 million by London & Co., who claimed that the Hole singer owed the firm a percentage of the earnings from the sale of Nirvana's publishing, which raked in nearly $20 million.
Attorneys for both Love and London & Co. told a Los Angeles judge earlier this month that the two sides had reached a settlement, leading to the suit's dismissal.
Love has controlled the rights to Cobain's music since his suicide in April 1994, although she clashed over its use with the surviving members of Nirvana several years later.
She eventually sold the publishing rights after a period during which she battled her own legal, financial and drug problems.

Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder will perform a solo acoustic set on Saturday, August 28th at a Little Rock, Arkansas rally in support of the West Memphis Three, according to Gibson.com. Vedder, a longtime supporter of the three, will be joined by Dixie Chicks member Natalie Maines and other special guests. According to Pearl Jam's official website. the event is being held to increase awareness about "the continued injustice visited upon Jason Baldwin, Damien Echols, and Jessie Misskelley, collectively known as the West Memphis Three."
The event, called Voices for Justice: A Rally in Support of the West Memphis Three, will take place at the Robinson Center Music Hall.
The show will include new video messages from Baldwin, Echols and Misskelley, who remain in prison after being convicted 17 years ago of three murders they say they did not commit.
Vedder, the Cure's Robert Smith, Metallica's James Hetfield and Marilyn Manson have all expressed their support for the three.
Pearl Jam recently began a hiatus after touring the world behind the band's ninth studio album, 2009's Backspacer.
