Fontaines D.C. have just released a deluxe edition of their Grammy-nominated 2024 album, Romance, just before kicking off their 2025 North American tour in Seattle. The expanded collection now features 14 songs, and includes three new tracks: “Before You I Just Forget,” the previously-released single “It’s Amazing to Be Young,” and a mash-up of “Starburster” and David Lynch’s “In Heaven (Lady in the Radiator Song).” Fontaines’ guitarist Conor Curley said “Before You I Just Forget” features an “incredible string part by [frontman] Grian [Chatten],” and “started with a vision of this really blown out sound, something that heaved and shifted with new details, like never being able to step in the same river twice.” Fontaines D.C. will begin their North American tour on April 17, making their way through various US cities before concluding with a three-night stand at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom in May, followed by a European tour starting in June.
